Recently, The Health Service Innovation Achievements Release and Launch Event at the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), hosted by the Beijing Municipal Health Commission, a significant milestone in China-Cambodia healthcare cooperation was achieved. Dr. Sung Vinntak, Secretary of State of the Cambodian Ministry of Health, led a seven-member delegation to attend the event. During the ceremony, Dr. Sung Vinntak formally presented the registration certificate for Beijing Tong Ren Tang’s Angong Niuhuang Wan to Ms. Di Shubing, Director and General Manager of China Beijing Tong Ren Tang Group Co. Ltd.

In his keynote address at the forum, Dr. Sung Vinntak highlighted the significance of this development, stating that Angong Niuhuang Wan, a classic emergency medicine in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), will fill a critical gap in Cambodia’s traditional medicine market for emergency treatments. The product offers a high-quality option for addressing acute conditions such as stroke and high-fever convulsions, directly contributing to the enhancement of Cambodia’s medical resources. He expressed strong optimism for continued China-Cambodia TCM collaboration, noting that the registration of 【Tong Ren Tang】Angong Niuhuang Wan marks only the beginning of deeper bilateral cooperation. Both parties have agreed to expand collaboration in four key areas: product registration, scientific research, medicinal material trade, and talent development. This includes facilitating the entry of more high-quality TCM products into Cambodia, conducting joint clinical research and academic exchanges, exploring synergies in the TCM supply chain, and establishing a professional talent development system for traditional medicine. These initiatives will comprehensively advance Cambodia’s traditional medicine sector and create broader opportunities for China-Cambodia TCM service trade cooperation.

In a media interview prior to the event, Dr. Sung Vinntak praised Beijing Tong Ren Tang as a pioneer in the global expansion of TCM, showcasing remarkable international cooperation achievements at CIFTIS. He emphasized that the successful registration of Angong Niuhuang Wan in Cambodia represents an exciting breakthrough, underscoring the unique value of traditional Chinese medicine in global service trade.

This year marks the 67th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Cambodia. Under the framework of building an all-weather China-Cambodia Community with a Shared Future, healthcare collaboration continues to deepen. Earlier this year, Mr. Dai Xiaofeng, Chairman of China Beijing Tong Ren Tang Group Co. Ltd. led a delegation to the Cambodian Ministry of Health to discuss the registration of Tong Ren Tang’s product series, laying a solid foundation for advancing bilateral traditional medicine cooperation. The Cambodian Ministry of Health’s reciprocal visit to Beijing Tong Ren Tang aims to ensure the effective implementation of these collaborative efforts, further extending the enduring friendship between China and Cambodia in the healthcare domain. As these cooperative initiatives come to fruition, the exchange and mutual learning of medical cultures between China and Cambodia will deepen, allowing TCM—a treasure of Chinese cultural heritage—to shine brightly in Cambodia, safeguarding the health and well-being of both nations’ peoples.
